If I or anyone ever needs any legal help in the near future I advise you to hire your own lawyer. Miss Baker did not represent me. She had her assistant represent me on my trial date, which was very out of place . Her assistant Madison did not do her best to represent me on the stand and barely put ...up a fight to any of my arguments surrounding my charges. This county is very racist and DA sides 100% with their office officers . they are non caring about the people that’s driving through there county . I was pulled over by young Caucasian cop that said he pulled me over for my tags, but then admitted that my tags were still within the grace period and did not let me go with a warning. He proceeded to make it an aggravated traffic stop, which ended in me getting arrested getting my car towed and losing my job, because of this poor representation, I am now paying a fine of $531 after the state of Cabarrus County has admitted after charging me for simple possession that the officer never got the substance tested he admitted this on stand. I advise anyone not to even drive through this county or live here.

I’ve reached out first by message on avvo several times to this Lawyer and she has never responded to messages nor has she called me so after I was served my warrants in arraigned on bond, I am now seeking a lawyer for my probable call and I’ve called her firm over 17 times there is never any answer ...no response to messages and this Lawyer seems to be missing in action or not taking on any cases or possibly even close for business if you’re looking for somebody in Cabarrus County, I would try a different Lawyer. I could recommend two good ones that have responded to me, but I’m not allowed to make that kind of recommendation here all I can say is never responds. Doesn’t email doesn’t call doesn’t message back doesn’t even acknowledge you. Exist or have an answering service to direct a client to her so I would just avoid this Attorney altogether obviously she does not want business nor does she care for clients or potential clients

Maybe she is a better criminal lawyer, but I wish I had chosen someone who would advocate for me in my case. She was sporadic in her communication with me, I found myself having to recant my story several times over a year, as if she didn't believe me. I only heard from her 1-2 days prior to going ...to court. When I expressed my disappointment, it was if I had struck her across the face. I was met with the, "well what do you mean?", or the "what are you trying to say?" I don't feel as if I was represented well, and I was not guilty, but I could not afford to take this to trial at her rate. The case went on well over 1 year, without any positive repercussions.

Laura baker seems like a nice woman but she is very unprofessional in her business practices. She is also more expensive than other, more experienced and overall better attorneys in the Concord area. She is very slow to communicate about case information and is very short with her replies. I understa...nd she's a busy woman but for the amount of money she's been paid, I expect better service. She also waited until the last minute to share certain details of a plea bargain that would've made me change my mind about the deal completely. Seeing as she waited until the last possible minute, I was pretty much forced to take the deal. In my opinion, she waited to tell me because she didn't want to put in the extra work to try and make the deal better. VERY disappointed in her service and truly wish I'd have went with someone else. Will never use her services again and I highly, highly recommend you pay an attorney who will actually appreciate your money and not keep secrets from you!!
