The other side of the gold .
If I or anyone ever needs any legal help in the near future I advise you to hire your own lawyer. Miss Baker did not represent me. She had her assistant represent me on my trial date, which was very out of place . Her assistant Madison did not do her best to represent me on the stand and barely put ...
We are sorry for your experience with Cabarrus County. As we discussed on the phone, your experience with the police, the findings/ruling of the Judge, and how the State decides to prosecute their case against you is outside of our office's control. Ms. Crabtree took over your representation after Ms. Baker was no longer on the court-appointed list for that type of matter and she made all appropriate and legal arguments that you requested. While this matter may not have gone in your favor ultimately, our office was able to assist you in additional more serious matters that resulted in complete dismissals. We continue to wish you the best.

Non responsive altogehter
I’ve reached out first by message on avvo several times to this Lawyer and she has never responded to messages nor has she called me so after I was served my warrants in arraigned on bond, I am now seeking a lawyer for my probable call and I’ve called her firm over 17 times there is never any answer ...
Dear Sir, We respond by text or call immediately to all calls and voicemails. We are genuinely baffled by your comments about our responsiveness. Our phone system does not show 17 missed calls or voicemails from anyone...frankly not even 2! Our firm has no answering call center and no AI. Every communication comes from myself, my associate attorney, or my paralegal. Whatever the situation, we are sorry to hear of your experience with trying to contact are office and wish we could have been of assistance with your legal matter-- in whatever county. We wish you the best of luck. Laura Baker

Suspended driver license
My driver license was suspended for speeding. I am guilty but I got info that another attorney helped his client for speeding saved his license. I cannot say the same for me my suspension prevented me from jobs and caused high insurance rates. I would not recommend Attorney Laura baker.
We would be happy to discuss your individual outcome with you and see if you have any other options to assist with getting you relicensed if you would reach out to our office directly. We are unable to verify you are/were a client of our firm with an anonymous posting and it would be otherwise inappropriate for us to publicly comment on the specifics of a client's case. Unfortunately, if your license was suspended due to the resolution of a court case, it was the result of the action of the NC DMV or the DMV of your home state and not the action of our office, the District Attorney's office or of the NC Courts. While license suspension is obviously a bad collateral consequence to a speeding citation, there are times it cannot be avoided when speeding citations are very high or driving records are especially poor. Again, we would be happy to discuss this with you if you would reach out directly.

I should have chosen someone else...
Maybe she is a better criminal lawyer, but I wish I had chosen someone who would advocate for me in my case. She was sporadic in her communication with me, I found myself having to recant my story several times over a year, as if she didn't believe me. I only heard from her 1-2 days prior to going ...

Avoid this attorney
Laura baker seems like a nice woman but she is very unprofessional in her business practices. She is also more expensive than other, more experienced and overall better attorneys in the Concord area. She is very slow to communicate about case information and is very short with her replies. I understa...
"Laura Baker is an excellent choice for any of your criminal needs. I have had the pleasure of both watching her in court, and appearing against her in various matters. She is not only knowledgeable about the law and aggressive in her representation, but she is also compassionate to her clients. The quality of her work is unmatched. You will be well cared for by Laura."
"As opposing counsel on a child custody matter with Laura Baker, I was impressed with her knowledge of the law and her strong advocacy for her client. I certainly refer any matters I have in Cabarrus County to Ms. Baker and her partner Lucas Baker. I certainly endorse this lawyer."
