Couldn't have asked for better

Like I said in the title I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer to have represent me on my cases Mr. McCartan got me the best deal possible and actually fought for me infront of the D.A. and judge and it was never about money to Mr. McCartan either all he cared about was helping his clients if you...'re backed up into a corner with no way to go and you need an attorney look no further than Mr. McCartan you will not be disappointed with his services

Meh

Although he did as much as he could do, based on my assessment, I would not recommend going with Chris because his services are over priced and I did not feel well informed. If you get a DUI your best bet is to get the absolute cheapest lawyer you can or look up the paper work to get your limited dr...iving privilege and such yourself. I am dealing with the DUI I received 7 years after the fact because I was ill informed about how to completely serve my punishment. I was given enough counsel to keep me out of jail, but, now I find myself with a restricted license because I wasn't told that I had to initiate the time served for which I can only have a BAC of .04. Get the cheapest lawyer you can get that will help you get a limited driving privilege for the first year and help get you set up with the required AA classes. It is a good idea to have a lawyer if you have never been to court before because the courts do not have your best interests in mind and herd you through the process like cattle going to slaughter. In hindsight, I could have gotten the same service for 100 bucks if I had waited on the letters to roll in from cheaper alternatives. If you have an extra couple grand to blow then by all means, go for it. Just remember, there is no defense for DUI. You will be convicted, the best you can hope for is to be guided through the process of getting your full driving privileges back.

Miracle Worker

Guys, I want to share these statements with you. I had the greatest experience in court the other day..I was charge with a case that has been hanging over my head for quite some time now. I"ve hire multiple Lawyers to handle my case in the pass and came up dissapointed, I was about to give up because... of the monie I've spent, and I mean "Some Monies have been spent". Anyway,a colleague of mine told me about a Law Firm called Powers& McCartan that kick a_ _. I looked them up to see whether they serve clients in Cabarrus County.I got intouch with an Lawyer by the name of Chistopher McCartan. We got set up and went over the leagal expects of my case and I still was a lil sceptical about them been able to grant me my wishes," Boy let me tell you something" this Lawyer stood up in court and represented me just like he knew me from childhood, he spoke Loud, cocky, and direct to the Judge and the DA and presented my case with authority...WOW!!! he blew my mine when he spoke. everybody in court even the police officers was fixed on this guy and how he delivered my case..after spending so much money and time in the past while dealing with lazy ass Lawyers, that only care about your money and not the client's welfare, I can say Chistopher McCartan with "Powers&McCartan" has perform a miracle that day..he gets 6 starrs from me..Thank you so much!!!

Thrown under the bus

Was told I had a good case and we were going to plead not guilty. There was no probable cause for the officer to approach my car except that the officer stated my music was loud and he went to investigate. The noise around me was so loud you could not hear yourself think, so yes, my radio was probabl...y loud: I was at the race sitting directly beside the track on the road that led to my motor home (a private road). I was not moving and the officer never observed my car in motion. I had been to visit my friend in another campsite and was dressed in my pajamas. I certainly had no intention of being on a State Road. His defense was going to be that there was no probable cause. There was never any mention of pleading guilty. I should have been told this at the first meeting with Mr. McCartan not six months later and 30 minutes before being called in front of the judge. My fee was 1500.00 and he was paid within 2 weeks of our first consultation. I am really let down by this and should have represented myself; I feel I would have had a better outcome and a LOT cheaper. A jury trial would have suited me just fine. My first impression was a positive one, I was truly in shock when he came to me at the court house and informed me of his change in plans. I felt blindsided and did not know what else to do. There was some language about not making the judge mad and taking a chance of having a severe penalty. Not having been in front of a judge before naturally I took his advice. I will say that I am a Senior Citizen with a spot less record...until now.
