Professional - knowledgable - quick to respond

I hired Mr. Wheless to help with my DUI case. He was highly recommended from a family friend who also practices law. I met with a few other lawyers, but I decided to go with him because he was prompt and followed through. His fee seemed reasonable considering the circumstances. His staff is extrem...ely polite and helpful. They always responded to my emails and questions I had. During the trial it was obvious that Mr. Wheless was extremely prepared for my case. He had 5 notebooks open tabbed to various sections of law that pertained to my case. He was able to get my case dismissed.

Outstanding staff and results

I was returning from Corolla, NC and was pulled over for speeding on 158N. I was clocked at 13 mph above posted speed limit . Charge was reckless driving. Hired Mr. Wheless and he returned the best possible outcome that I could have imagined. Whenever I needed to contact his staff either via email or... on the phone, they were prompt, courteous and most importantly to me competent. They followed up. Something that seems quite rare these days. This firm will take very good care of you and your case. I highly recommend Mr. Wheless and his firm should you require the services of an attorney in North Carolina.

So Glad I Hired Him!

I hired Jay after emailing with him about my case. He was quick to respond to my inquires and was transparent from the start what he could do for me and what I would need to do to get my charges reduced. He was able to get my speeding violation down to a non moving violation which will not be seen ...on my license or affect my insurance company. The moving violation would have gotten my license revoked in NC and put some serious points on my VA license. He did all of this quickly and efficiently. Thanks, Jay!

Very responsive

We hired Mr. Wheless and his staff to help us with a traffic ticket we received on our way down to the Outer Banks. The ticket was pretty serious and required our personal appearance at court. Since we live 300 miles away we were dreading having to appear in court more than the fines that were sur...e to come. We contacted Mr. Wheless' Office and he responded right away. His staff was very helpful, even when we messed up the paperwork. He explained the most likely outcome and gave us excellent advice as to what we could do to help or own case. He handled the case without us having to appear and his staff immediately informed us of the outcome. Great job! I highly recommend Mr Wheless and his staff.

Top Notch Lawyer

After encountering some legal trouble in Nagshead, North Carolina, I was mailed brochures from several local attorneys. Mr. Wheless was NOT one of them. I chose Mr. Wheless after a little internet research and avoiding lawyers who sent flyers out for low budget representation. I first contacted him t...hrough his website, where he very promptly responded and within an hour or so I spoke with him directly on the phone. He understood that I was vacationing in North Carolina at the time that I was put in a bad position and landed in jail. He was able to represent me in court for the two charges that I faced without me having to drive 4.5 hours to be in court. He successfully got both charges dismissed. Yes, not reduced, DISMISSED. I was thoroughly impressed with his prompt personal attention and willingness to represent my criminal case. He demonstrated professionalism and did not make any empty promises. In fact he never promised that he would be able to get my case dismissed at all. This was something that he achieved on the date that I was set to be in court. I would highly recommend Mr. Wheless to anyone that needs any sort of legal representation. If you visit his website, you will see his credentials along with his education and years of experience. Don't spend your money on a lawyer that will not take the time that is needed to achieve what you are looking to achieve. In most cases you only have one chance to make it count. Mr. Wheless proved to be the right decision for my legal troubles and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who is looking to hire a lawyer.
