As a recent transplant to eastern North Carolina I've been welcomed into the community with open arms. When I'm not in the office or at court, then I enjoy the small things that living in a rural town offers. Quiet walks to the corner store with my kids for an ice cream cone, watching the local sports teams, or getting to know my neighbors by particpating in volunteer organizations, such as the American Legion and the Volunteer Fire Department.
