John B. Dunn Jr.

A primary part of my practice focuses on estate administration and probate matters. I am also the Public Administrator for Pitt County, North Carolina. I handle all types of estates, from large to small.

I assist clients with their estate planning from the most simple and basic plans to more complicated estate tax planning plans. I am also a member of the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and currently a member of the Section's Council.

I serve as Guardian for a number of individuals and I actively practice in the areas of incompetency proceedings and guardianships, including assisting clients with court proceedings related to guardianships, such as petitions to sell real property or to invade principal.

I advise clients with regard to elder law issues, including estate planning, Medicaid eligibility and planning issues and some Medicare issues. I am also a member of the Elder Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA)
