I am a native of Greensboro, North Carolina and am presently a proud resident of Durham, North Carolina. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill ("UNC"), where I double majored in Management and Society & Sociology.
I received my Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University ("NCCU"), where I graduated at the top of my class. I continued my mission of serving low income communities by working with North Carolina Legal Aid, the Civil Litigation Clinic, and Foreclosure Defense Clinic while in Law School. NCCU has one of the top clinical programs in the nation and I was proud to serve my community under such esteemed legal advisors. I received the North Carolina Bar Pro Bono Certificate, where I served approximately 500 hours during the course of my law school career. Recently, I received the NAACP Humanitarian of the Year Award.
After Law School I worked in private practice focusing primarily in Criminal Law and Personal Injury. As the present managing partner of Richberg Law I am confident that I will have more flexibility to focus on the areas that will best serve my community.

Great Communication
My first closing with Shayla - she is awesome. She ANSWERS the phone. To be honest, her office is not close to mine but I would use her for closings being a distance away because of her professionalism and responsiveness.
