Biography
Catherine A. Forneris is originally from upstate New York and moved to the Triangle area to complete her doctoral training from the State University of New York at Albany (SUNY Albany) as a clinical psychologist. Prior to that, she earned an undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in Chemistry and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical from SUNY Albany, as well as an MA in Psychology.
While working full-time as a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the UNC School of Medicine, she attended the part-time Evening Program at North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she received her law degree, with honors, in 2016.
Cathy’s main area of focus is transactional practice, including but not limited to, business entity formation, wills, contract administration and review, civil litigation, landlord/tenant law, and family law.
