About Tara
Biography
I joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin in 2002 and became a shareholder in 2005. I currently head the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department.
I received my J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Mycurrent practice allows me to offer legal services for some aspects ofintellectual property on a contingency or fee basis.
I enjoy the intellectual challenge of studying various technologies and other innovative pursuits, and appreciate the creativity exhibited in the the arts. I get tremendous satisfaction from advising independent inventors and entrepreneurs about their intellectual property matters and assisting them in pursing their endeavors.
In addition, I am a co-chair of the Inventor IssuesCommittee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and amember of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. I also serve asthe Chair of the Firm’s Social Services Committee.
