Attorney India Dennis represented me in a very complex divorce case. Throughout the process she was very communicative and informed me of every step of the legal process. Due to the complexity of the case, she was more than patient, great listener, compassionate while making sure she advocated for my... interest. I highly recommend her to represent you, she knows the law and how it applies to your legal matter, her response time to emails and phone calls were impeccable as she kept me informed at every step in the process. I was pleased at the outcome thanks to her legal experience, her negotiating skills and her willingness to resolve the matter fairly and expeditiously.

I hired India and never received the services and paperwork that she insisted she would provide. She has very little to no communication skills and when questioned about this, she becomes highly defensive. She informed me at the last minute that she couldn’t appear with me in court, and I only found ...this out after calling and emailing her repeatedly the day before court. She decided she was unable to represent me because she didn’t want to be stressed out because I asked her to communicate more effectively with me. She has only refunded a partial amount of my payment and refuses to give me the rest. I have requested several times via email for her to send me the completed paperwork she did to justify her charges. Her response was “I cleared out my database with your paperwork and I will look for it if I have the time”. After I informed her I would be seeking legal counsel to attempt to get all of my money back, she stated “I’m a small black owned business”. What does that have to do with her unprofessionalism, and inability to communicate effectively and giving me the completed paperwork.I also sent her all of our correspondence via email and text to show her she never sent nor requested any further information from me , now she’s refusing to respond and claiming “unduly stress”. This is one of her responses to my request for better communication. “Ok, do what you must. I am a small black owned business and in the short time that I have tried to work with you have caused me unduly stress. Phew! I truly sympathize with your situation but I have to be weary of high conflict cases this year. “ As a Family Law/ Divorce attorney any case can go from being amicable to high conflict. She appeared once in court with me for my DMPO, based on the paperwork I filed and completed and her only statement in court was “she wishes to drop the order”. Please take heed and do not retain her as an attorney unless you’ve completed and file your own paperwork and just want someone with the title of attorney to stand on with you and speak on your behalf.

Worst wannabe attorney had her for 4 months I went to clerk of court to see what was going on with my case because she left me uniformed about anything I was asked if I had an attorney I replied yes told them who she was and I was told she hadn't filed anything on my behalf then after relieving her s...he started filing things that I told her not to. She also started working with the opposite attorney against me. She wouldn't remove herself from my case so I could hire another attorney and I ended up with jail time and she didn't try to defend me and I ended up losing my home and job.Do not waste your money find someone else. She will not return phone calls you have a better chance representing yourself. Worst experience ever. Now I have to get my case back in court. She doesn't want to return any of my money.
