Dawn Dillon Raynor

Dawn defends employers in employment related matters and workers' compensation claims. Her experience includes counseling clients, investigating claims, and representation of employers in litigated matters at mediations, hearings and appeals before the North Carolina Industrial Commission, North Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Dawn also has experience representing North Carolina licensing boards and licensees before various licensing boards. In her administrative practice, she has appeared before various state agencies and North Carolina courts. Dawn routinely speaks at seminars for employers related to employment law and workers' compensation issues.

Dawn joined the firm in 1996 after completing a judicial clerkship at the North Carolina Court of Appeals with the Hon. Jack Cozort and the Hon. Donald Smith. She was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and served as Associate Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board while attending law school at Wake Forest University School of Law. Dawn attended Mary Washington College in her home state of Virginia, where she graduated magna cum laude in 1992.

Dawn is married with two sons. She serves on the Board of Directors of the First Baptist Church Infant/Toddler Center. In her free time, she enjoys being a mom, running, cooking and reading.
