Edward Stroehmann Schenk III

Edward is a litigator who defends private businesses, municipalities and their key personnel when they need help. He primarily counsels companies and their insurers in employment practices and professional liability cases, serious premises accidents, wrongful death cases and workers’ compensation claims. Edward is experienced in representing employers in EEOC and DOL inquiries and investigations arising from Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA and a variety of North Carolina employment laws. He is outside general counsel to a number of North Carolina and Southeastern regional companies, including one of North Carolina’s largest privately owned medical transportation providers.

Edward was recognized as a "Rising Star" by his peers in the 2011 and 2012 North Carolina edition of Super Lawyers magazine and he is listed in the 2013 and 2014 editions of the Best Lawyers in America. He has also been named in the 2013 edition of “Young Guns (Best Under 40)” by Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite magazine and he earned the "AV Preeminent” rating by Martindale-Hubbell, noting that peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence.

Edward graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Campbell University School of Law, graduating in the top ten of his class. Upon graduation, he was inducted into the Order of Barristers. Edward is licensed to appear in all of the State and Federal civil trial and appellate courts in North Carolina. He has argued and appeared as counsel in cases at the North Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.
