Rachel Tait Goodling

Rachel Goodling has been with Sandlin Family Law Group since 2016. Her practice is devoted exclusively to family law, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, adoptions, separation agreements, pre and post-nuptial agreements and termination of parental rights.

Rachel received her B.S. in Journalism, with a minor in Political Science, from Appalachian State University in 2012. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Campbell University School of Law in 2016 and received her law license in August 2016. During law school, Rachel was a member of the National Moot Court team and also competed twice in the Jerome Prince Evidence Moot Court Competition in Brooklyn, New York.

Upon graduation, Rachel was inducted into the Order of Barristers, a national honor society which recognizes excellence in oral advocacy, and was also awarded the Safran Moot Court Award for outstanding contribution to Campbell’s appellate advocacy program. Rachel also served as a senior staff writer on the Campbell Law Observer and was awarded the J. Bryan Boyd Award for excellence in legal journalism.

Throughout law school, Rachel interned at the North Carolina Department of Justice Medicaid Investigations Division, North Carolina Prisoner Legal Services, and at the Wake County Family Court with the Honorable Judge Lori Christian. In her third year of law school, Rachel founded Campbell’s Death Row Visitation Pro Bono Project, where she served as the project coordinator.

In her private life, Rachel enjoys running, yoga, reading, and hiking, and spending time with her two dogs, Jovi and Rosie.
