He received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, graduating with honors. While at Carolina, he served as a staff member for the First Amendment Law Review, and participated in the UNC Externship Program with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He also served as a member of the UNC Graduate Honor Court, and made the Dean’s List each semester at UNC Law.
