Biography
Asa C. Edwards’ principal areas of practice include consumer protection (FCRA, FDCPA, TCPA) employment law, civil litigation, and commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice in North Carolina State Courts and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina.
Asa received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of South Carolina at Columbia, graduating cum laude. Prior to entering law school, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Micronesia where he was a community development volunteer and English teacher. He received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, graduating with honors. While at Carolina, he served as a staff member for the First Amendment Law Review, and participated in the UNC Externship Program with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He also served as a member of the UNC Graduate Honor Court, and made the Dean’s List each semester at UNC Law.
