Catherine was very attentive and helpful so in that regard, there would be 5 stars. My lower rating comes from the following: - she never gave monthly invoices, her firm just used the trust. I can confirm this is not common practice as our other firms always sent monthly invoices and let us know th...e cost before and after doing ANYTHING - Our account remained open for about a year after close, I contacted the office several times there times via email 6 times via phone to do so and asked about an itemized receipt and didn't get one until a year past - we never actually made it to trial as the person filing dropped the case and filed for dismissal. A year passed before I got the itemized receipt after a final reach out, all of the funds were used. I deposited 1.5k over what she asked because I felt like the case could get long if we made it to trial. It was disheartening to see, so I would say be wary and be on top of these situations as I was not. Previous firms handled that information and sent copies of the original contract, monthly invoices, etc without me having to be on top of it as much as the case was pretty traumatic. My warning is to maybe get to a firm that has the staff to be on top of these action items, as it truly felt as though some of the funds were used without my knowledge or created to be able to avoid refund.
