I tried to give this guy the benefit of the doubt. I tried to be as patient as possible. I'm from NJ, had a speeding ticket in NC that was from many months back. Shopped around lawyers, John quoted me 275$ which was cheaper than the other options i tried...lesson learned. You get what you pay for. ... After hiring John, there was 0 contact. His contract specifically states all follow ups are to be done with his online portal service...all he uploaded was my invoice and nothing more. NOTHING. I hired john on 12/2 to prevent my license from being suspended on the 14th. I had to contact him on the 12th after not hearing from him since we initially spoke to be told "Im going to try and get it on the docket but if not, you're going to have a suspended license for a few days". Uhm....what? What have you been doing for the 10 days since you got paid? Easy answer: collected his money and that's it. Okay, he's a lawyer and my case is BS...i get it. Not a big money client, not a priority. But, now i have his attention. He understands the urgency. You'd think he'd at least follow up from there? Nope. Once again, i find myself calling John middle of the next week. He gives me the answer "Im trying to get you on the docket for this week, i'll be in touch". Excuse me? You'll try? Why is this so difficult? How much time do you need for a speeding ticket? OHH...wait. John then actually looked at my file while giving me his generic excuse and wouldn't you know, he actually took care of my case the week before. So, thank you for making me pay for ubers for 5 days while Im thinking my license is suspended. I just want this experience over at this point. I have no words...just oh thats great news. Thank you. "So, im going to send you the paperwork to start your payment plan and pay the court costs. If you don't hear from me by 5pm, text me." Here i am, day 4. Texted john multiple times, called his practice, left voicemails. Nothing. He already finished the case, i just need to pay it. No urgency. No sense of professionalism. No response to my texts. I finally called the courts myself and am just paying them directly. For the record, Im not somebody who likes to give bad reviews. I would have came on here with wonderful remarks if he had an ounce of professionalism in him. When you're from out of state, you feel vulnerable as it is and then you have sharks like John who want to get you on the phone, collect your money, then make you work extra hard to make sure he is handling your case properly. I'd have rather paid the 400$ another lawyer quoted me to have a better experience. If you're from out of state....i cannot stress this enough...STEER CLEAR!

Mr. John helped me in resolving some issues I had because of a car accident. He appeared to the court for me and ask for a dismissal. It is hard to get in touch with him sometimes. The secretary would take your number and said she will call you back, but she actually forgets. You have to keep calli...ng until you receive an email, updating you on the case. Other than that I am very pleased with Mr. John's service.

Three months ago, I had a car accident in Raleigh which was entirely my fault. While I have never met John Kotzker, at in person, he represented me well in court. (I live over an hour away) We spoke initially on the phone after many calls to many firms. With his quick response and lower fee, I hired ...John. His requirements were must less than other attorneys, who had forms to fill out, etc. I only had to provide one document from my insurance company and that was it. Continued correspondence was through email. I am thankful for John handling my case with little or no worries about it all going well, which it did. There were no points on my license and now I never really think about the accident at, which is a big relief that after my $500 deductible I can go on with my daily life. (on bit of a tighter budget) John Kotzker did a good job for, even though we've never really met:)

My husband went to Mr. Kotzker for some old DWLR from 2007 so he had aquired some FTA charges that can be expensive alone. He got all of the charges dismissed and didn't charge but $425 for everything. It took him a little over a week to get the charges handled. He did keep us some what informed b...ut I had to contact him to find out what was going on. Overall he did what he said he would and for a fair price.
