Jonathan Teal Dickerson

I grew up in eastern North Carolina before moving to Chapel Hill for college. I've lived in Durham since then, and my time in those two regions - eastern NC and the Triangle - cultivated my appreciation for the different backgrounds that shape people’s perspectives. And that shapes how I approach each case.

I'm a litigator, which means I help people walk through the court system when they're facing what is likely one of the most emotional, stressful, and potentially frustrating events in their lives. 

It's obviously important for your attorney to know the law. But I also believe it's important for me to be able to explain the law to my clients in a way that makes sense for them. Where you grew up and how you think about life might cause you to have a different perspective or goal about how to resolve your case. I view my job as an opportunity to listen to your goals and to work alongside you by explaining what outcomes the law can provide.
