Lori Anne Duperon

I am the founder of True Ground Family Therapy in Clayton, North Carolina, and a marriage and family therapist specializing in work with professional couples and individuals experiencing persistent depression and anxiety. I work with people who have often done the research, tried to make sense of what is happening, and are still looking for a different way forward.

At True Ground, therapy moves beyond talking about the problem to discovering and changing what is keeping the distress, distance, or disconnection going. My approach is collaborative and experiential, with a focus on helping clients create new experiences that can lead to meaningful, lasting change. I am also comfortable working with individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or self harm and welcome inquiries from those seeking this kind of therapy.

Before becoming a marriage and family therapist, I practiced law in California. I have retired from the practice of law and formally resigned from the California State Bar.
