Could not recommend this law firm

Burton, Sue & Anderson was recommended to me by a Greensboro attorney who did not handle personal injury claims. My auto accident occurred during a time when I was recovering from a late-stage aggressive cancer; so, I was not quick to settle as I had multiple physical issues simultaneously. Mr. Sue w...as made aware of this situation. Following the accident, I was treated by 3 orthopedic doctors and 2 physical therapists for the neck injury I sustained from being rear ended. Gary Sue agreed to take my case while I was still recovering from the neck injury, but months later the file was closed and further assistance refused even though the statute of limitations was open for 1 more year. I am not sure why the file was closed, as this was never explained to me. Instead, I received a letter from Walter Burton, an attorney who I had never met, communicating that the firm would be unable to do further work on my case. Upon my request, the original medical records were collected so that I could pick those up from Burton, Sue, & Anderson. I was later able to secure another attorney, who collected $12,351.69 from the at-fault driver's insurance company.
