Poor quality work overpriced and drags out case

Have an open and shut case I contracted her firm at Garrett Walker and been going through the court motions for quite a bit now was in federal prison when the warrant was released for this charge and if you check into what the charge is, you can see that somebody else committed the transaction use th...eir ID was put into their vehicle and is everything is on camera I am charged with something that I did not even do nor even have possession of it can cause me a lot of employment problems, especially when I don’t have a history of theft or that any type of crime. The lawyer is dragging out the case. Instead of just getting it dismissed, which should be very easy bye just saying look see who picked it up because their idea is on file when they pick up something from an airport terminal. You have to use your state or federal identification look at the car that it was loaded into because it was pulled right up to the bay and read the license plate and review the cameras to see who it was and you’ve got an open and shut case proving innocence and I am being dragged around. I’ve even sent my motion to dismissed that I wrote and still nothing. Communication is not that great and the price seems a little high for what I’m dealing with especially when I don’t feel like work is being done properly. I’m being forced now to seek secondary council because I don’t feel the lawyer has my best interest at play. Otherwise my charge would’ve been dismissed already because there is way too much evidence to show that I never had anything to do with this crime the only thing that ties me to it is that the package that was picked up was addressed to me as a subcontractor, but one of my subordinates picked it up, and because I was put into federal custody during that time I was never able to take possession of the item complete the contracted work or return the item and I had nothing to do with it so I feel like this should’ve been open and shut and that this should not be dragging out as it is and I feel that bringing in a second Lawyer may be the best option Because I don’t feel this. Lawyer is working for me. There should be so much already accomplished with multiple court dates already passed, but as of yet nothing has been accomplished. The record can clearly show. If you just pull the camera records the identification used to pick up the item and the vehicle information that it was loaded into. You can see that all of it does not tie back to me and that my federal prison incarceration exonerates me from everything.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
