Andrew Lowell Chapin

Andrew L. ("Drew") Chapin is a "non-traditional" lawyer who began his professional career as a civil engineer. Mr. Chapin represents owners, developers, builders, contractors, subcontractors, sureties, and design professionals in all aspects of construction litigation, alternative dispute resolution, contract negotiations, licensing, and other construction issues. In 2006, Mr. Chapin became Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar. Mr. Chapin applies his legal training and his "real world" experiences as an engineer to counsel his clients on the practical resolution of construction disputes.

Following graduation from Florida State University in 1988, Mr. Chapin joined Greiner Engineering, Inc. (now URS Corporation), a multi-discipline engineering consulting firm, where he focused on planning and design of roadways in Central Florida. Mr. Chapin became licensed as a professional engineer in 1994 and later served as Greiner's Director of Project Development and Engineering (PD&E) Studies until 1996, when he entered the University of Florida College of Law.
