Erin Woodrum Dummit Fradin's senior case management attorney practicing in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She is experienced in all aspects of family law including child custody, child support, equitable distribution, spousal support and domestic violence. Erin has a special interest in third party custody cases (grandparents, relatives, stepparents); termination of parental rights cases; adoptions; and abuse/neglect/dependency cases. Erin also handles family law matters in the North Carolina appellate courts and has extensive experience practicing criminal law in North Carolina state courts as well. Erin works on all cases in our Winston Salem location providing extra guidance and support as each case moves through its various stages.
Erin attended Wake Forest University School of Law. She was a national team moot court competitor and was selected by Legal Aid of North Carolina as a Martin Luther King, Jr. Intern for demonstrating talent and commitment to equal justice. Erin also began college at the age of 16 and received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University.
Erin is known to approach cases with a unique passion and intensity. She came to the practice of law as a natural extension of her fearlessness and strong public speaking and debating skills. She prides herself on being not only a listening ear, but a backbone, for her clients during difficult and confusing times. Erin grew up riding hunter/jumper horses and explains to people the profound impact of “learning to fly” on their backs at a young age. Though she no longer “flies,” Erin carries the grit, determination, sense of responsibility and fearlessness with her as a lawyer.
When Erin isn’t at work, she is most definitely outside. Her typical day is different than it is for most people. It begins and ends on her hobby farm where she cares for her most beloved animals—her goats. She also tends to horses, donkeys, poultry and a small herd of rescue dogs. Animal rescue work is one of her great passions. If she’s not with her animals, you’ll find Erin on a lake, in a river or on a mountain.

I was unfairly charged with possession of marijuana by an ALE agent. Attorney Woodrum had the case dismissed. She was able to have my case disposed of very quickly so I did not have to miss a lot of days at work going back and forth to court. Highly recommend in family and criminal cases.
