Donald Richard Pocock

From the start of my college careeer, I knew I wanted to become a litigator.  In the time since I passed the bar in 2000, I have worked in a variety of settings and in lots of different areas of the law.  Beginning about three years after I first began to work as a lawyer, I focused my practice on litigation involving real estate development and ownership.  I have years of experience working in the construction industry and have developed a practical, boots-on-the-ground approach to helping contractors, designers (architects and engineers), and property owners diagnose and resolve problems with buildings and property.  I have also worked with product manufacturers and distributors whose products are incroporated into buildings, when their products are involved in problem buildings.  In 2005, before the mortgage industry really started to experience problems, I began work with creditors and financial institutions who were also involved in real estate litigation - typically disputes with consumers or with other banks.  Since 2007 I have handled an enormous volume of mortgage litigation across North Carolina and have expanded my creditor's rights work to include other areas such as credit cards, auto loans, and unsecured personal lines of credit.  In each and every case I work on, no matter what the subject, I am driven to help my clients achieve the best possible outcome in the most economical way.  I take a very service-oriented approach to every case I handle, and always work to protect my clients.
