Morgan Bennett's journey in law began in the Triangle area of North Carolina, where she grew up. An honors graduate from Appalachian State University, she studied Political Science with a focus on International and Comparative Politics, alongside a minor in Sociology. Her pursuit of legal excellence led her to Elon University School of Law in 2010. As a dedicated member of the Elon Law Innocence Project and an editor for the Elon Law Review, she graduated cum laude in 2013. Morgan’s professional path started at the Durham County Public Defender’s Office, fighting for juveniles facing a wide array of criminal charges. Relocating to the Guilford County Public Defender’s Office in 2016, she embraced Greensboro as her new home. By 2022, Morgan transitioned into private practice, armed with vast experience in advocacy and litigation. She is passionate about defending her clients’ rights, excelling in cases involving misdemeanors and felonies. Additionally, she shares her knowledge by teaching at Elon Law School, nurturing future legal talents. Outside her professional pursuits, Morgan enjoys traveling and cherishing moments with her two children.
