A Local Police Officer wrote me a ticket for Running a Red Light. It would have cost me my job as I have to drive for my line of work. In fact I was following a Client from Work when I got pulled over and we all believed that the light had only turned yellow when I entered the intersection. Most of t...he Attorneys that I called wanted too much money for a Traffic Ticket and were out of my price range. Mr. Kappel agreed to work with me on costs and before he took the case checked into some facts about my case. It turned out that there was a camera at the Intersection filing 24 hours day and night. Attorney Kappel was able to get a copy of the video from the camera and review it to see if what I said was true. Sure enough the Video showed me entering the intersection as the stop light went from green to yellow. He charged me only for his time going to Court and getting the ticket Dismissed. He played it for the Judge and Police Officer and we never had to even hold a hearing. I can not thank him enough for doing that for me as I kept my job and still continue to drive safely.

At one time I was making 85K a year until I lost my job. Then I made about 12 K on UC a year as my employer laid me off Mr Kappel realized as did I that at age 38 I was disabled. I could not control my temper in even the most routine situations and even though I thought what I was doing was right,... I always ended up doing it the wrong way. I had to support my daughter and myself making only 1K a month and believe me that is not easy in 2011. He got me to start seeing psychologists and behavorial specialists who did excellent reports on my condtion. I also had some physical problems that were considered. I got my SS disabilty and I can now live on that until I get better. I want to return to the workplace in a few years but I have to get better first. Mr. Kappel believed in me and told me to stick it out with Doctors and all the hassles of being very poor. That was not an easy thing to do while our country was going through one of the worst recessions ever. I am poor now but I can live on the amount I receive until that day when I can return to work. I was fired for something that I did not go at a long term care facility. A resident complained that they woke wet and I was the scapegoat. Initially I was ruled ineligible for my Unemployment Compensation and received nothing for about 3 months after my termination. Attorney Kappel located a witnes...s and subpoenaed him there who could state that he was also on duty and received no calls from the subject resident about being wet and needing help. He also was in charge and showed that I was not even working in the section where the resident was located. This testimony obliterated the employers case and I won my UC bebefits as a FULLY FAVORABLE decision. Attorney Kappel found the witness I needed to prove I did nothing wrong and was being used as a scapegoat. He really made me feel better about myself and I really needed the UC money to get by.

He always goes the extra mile on his cases. Made me feel important and better about myself on a bitter PFA /custody dispute. Was instrumental in improving my contact with my son from almost zero to 50/50 shared physical. I could not thank him enough as I now see my children often and they have trul...y benefitted.
