During law school, Ms. Leslie served as president of the Real Estate Law Society and worked part time as a law clerk for a small firm her 3L year.
Her favorite aspect of practicing law has been the different learning experiences each client and project has afforded her. Ms. Leslie started her career working her way up from a law clerk to an associate for a small plaintiffs firm in Fairmont, West Virginia, learning the basics of real estate transactions, estate law, oil and gas title, litigation, and contracts. She then served as counsel for two West Virginia State Senate committees during the 2017 legislative session, Economic Development and Energy, Industry, and Mining. From there, she served as in-house title attorney for a national oil and gas brokerage firm in their Appalachian Basin office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she honed her title skills and lease negotiations, and learning in-house counsel and employment contract skills. Most recently, Ms. Leslie developed the real estate division at Umina, Davis, Minutelli, & Gutta, in Morgantown where she became an issuing title agent for Old Republic Title Insurance. She has experience in real estate law, oil and gas title law, government relations, legislation drafting, labor and employment law, small business formation, and environmental law.
In her spare time, Ms. Leslie enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She and her husband have two dogs Toby, an abnormally large Yorkie, and Finn, a Brittany puppy.
