Educated at West Virginia University, Jeff was delighted to join what is now Sal Sellaro Culpepper Legal Group in March of 2009 after nearly 12 years on the bench as Monongalia County’s Family Court Judge. Jeff’s experience in Family Court, combined with his broad legal background in criminal, civil, and administrative matters, added to Sal Sellaro Culpepper's formidable reservoir of legal knowledge and expertise, and helps to form one of the most comprehensive, dynamic, and capable legal teams in the state. Legal Practice
Jeff's legal career includes nearly 12 years on the bench as a Family Court Judge, and years in private practice handling domestic relations, mediation, bankruptcy, personal injury cases, car accidents, DUI, criminal cases, and estate planning. Jeff’s practice continues to expand into new areas such as bankruptcy, social security, and unbundled legal services.
Jeff’s background also includes 3 years as a legal instructor at the West Virginia Junior College, service as a Law Clerk for Circuit Judge Robert B. Stone, Social Worker at Monongalia County Youth Services Center, and Communications Computer Operator for a U.S.D.O.E. contractor.
Personal Life
Jeff and his wife Susan met at West Virginia University where they were both students. During their 31 years of marriage they have raised a son and a daughter. After earning his undergraduate degree in Journalism, Jeff went on to earn his law degree from WVU’s college of law in 1993 while his wife, Susan, went on to earn her Master’s degree in education and has been a public school teacher in Monongalia County for 30 years.
