Landlord retaliates against family with autistic children
Aug 24, 2010OUTCOME: Dismissal of lawsuit against clients
Defended tenants who were being evicted by property manager who had it out for them and their two autistic boys. The property manager had a history of discriminating against children. The two autistic ... boys raised her ire by playing in the dirt areas outside of their apartment. This is a characteristic of autism. Parents agreed to keep area clean. Manager responded by installing THORN BUSHES in the area of a type used to keep pets out. She then served them with a 30 day notice despite their having a long term lease. I attacked the lawsuit as being defective and after two complaints filed by landlord, they dismissed their case. Filed a discrimination case against landlord, agents and owners which is now pending.
