also known as Kyle Nuttall
Nuttall Legal negotiates oil and gas leases and pipeline right of ways for West Virginia mineral and surface owners.
Mr. Nuttall graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2007. His first job out of law school was as a landman. He spent two years as an abstractor and two years as a curative landman. That experience provided a unique perspective on oil and gas that most attorneys who negotiate leases don't have.
Mr. Nuttall has dealt with most of the major developers and lease brokers in this area. Because of the large volume of leases he deals with he knows the going rate for bonuses and royalties in the different counties and can help you know what clauses and terms you are likely to be able to negotiate with the particular company you are negotiating with.

He has been wonderful about suggesting alternative language and advocating for me as the client. I've gone back to him 2-3 times for hel...

Needs to be well informed on permitting laws for oil and gas.
Mr. Nuttall drew a blank on 3 laws pertaining to his area of expertise. I had done all of the research and went back to write down the numbers of the laws he had not heard of. I told the oil co. And Mr. Nuttall that it is a law that the storage tanks and laterals and wells have numbers on them to t...
I can't think of many clients or potential clients that have asked about API numbers. In most situations I'm the one asking the potential client whether they have an API number for a well, and describing the format and where they can find the number at the well site or online. I may have had an off day when I talked with you, and I am sorry that I wasn't able to answer your questions or help you with what you needed. I hate to have a dissatisfied client or potential client. I hope you'll be willing to call and clear things up, if the issue still exists. Please call the office. I'll be glad to try to help you out again.
