Jonathan Pope

Jonathan Pope is an Ohio attorney practicing out of Klie Law Offices’ Canton office, with extensive experience in family law and domestic relations. His practice has focused on representing individuals and families through some of the most significant and challenging legal matters they may encounter, including divorce, dissolution, legal separation, child custody, and related parental-rights issues. Jonathan has handled domestic relations matters from the initial client consultation and case assessment through negotiation, mediation, court proceedings, and final resolution. He has extensive experience drafting pleadings, discovery requests, motions, judgments, decrees, and appellate filings, as well as representing clients at hearings and trials.

Jonathan has also developed significant experience in complex custody matters and disputes involving parental rights, including participation in mediation and parental coordination. His appellate experience includes successfully arguing an appeal before the Tenth District Court of Appeals that resulted in the reversal of a trial court’s property division and additional funds being awarded to his client. In addition to his individual caseload, Jonathan has experience mentoring and managing junior attorneys and assisting with the management and growth of a law practice.

Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Arts and Science from The Ohio State University, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Philosophy. He earned his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School and has been licensed to practice law in Ohio since 2017.

Outside of work, Jonathan is an avid sports fan and lifelong Ohio sports enthusiast. He is a passionate supporter of Ohio State football, the Cincinnati Bengals, and Newcastle United. When he is not following the Buckeyes, Bengals, or Magpies, he enjoys getting outdoors and hiking. Most importantly, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. The family’s household also includes two cats and a dog, ensuring that there is never a shortage of activity at home. For Jonathan, time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and cheering on his favorite teams provide the perfect balance to his professional life.
