Eileen M. Solis at Brown & Charbonneau, LLP obtained a confidential, seven-figure settlement in a case against a church and its senior pastor for the rape of a minor female parishioner, Jane Doe, by th ... e church’s music minister. The victim was raped on April 25, 2011. In filing suit, Jane Doe alleged sexual battery, false imprisonment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress against the perpetrator. Jane Doe alleged negligence; negligent failure to warn, train, or educate the plaintiff; negligence supervision; negligent hiring and retention; breach of fiduciary duty; fraud; and infliction of emotional distress against the defendant church and defendant senior pastor, according to the complaint filed in Riverside County Superior Court, case number RIC1112278.
