Laid off employees of 450 million dollar software company (purchased by Red Prairie) started new company to assist in trouble shooting products for consumers. Company sued as violation of IP, but were ... actually intimidating ex employees so they would not compete. The individuals had no access to any intellectual property code and therefore were not in business of using IP to create software. They learned to troubleshoot on the job, but company also published full consumer manuals to assist as well so any IP was made public as to trouble shooting products.
