Our client came to us in a panic. She felt that her husband was improperly removing assets from the marital estate and wasting funds. Their estate was worth well over $9 million dollars when we first ... met and she had a complicated history including issues of domestic violence. She was represented by another firm at the time we met, but she did not feel as if the other attorney was fighting hard. We stepped in and fought the good fight against two of the most well respected family law firms in town. We successfully resolved the case with our client receiving more than 50% of the estate to compensate for the husbands misappropriation of marital resources. When all was finished, we accomplished all of our client's goals for less than 1/2 of what the opposing party paid to their "high powered" lawyers.

My client, a mother of a 9 year old girl, was terrified when her ex-husband filed a motion to modify parenting time to a 50/50 schedule. The parties had divorced when the child was around three ye ... ars old and father had very limited interactions/parenting time for several years following the separation. When the child was 7 years old, the parties attempted to reconcile their relationship and father was reintroduced to their daughter. The reconciliation ended abruptly when the child made an outcry that her father was touching her inappropriately. After two years of police and Child Protective Services investigations and two forensic interviews, the authorities concluded there was insufficient evidence to move forward with a criminal charge. (Sadly, that is often the outcome as it is a child's word against her father's word and the district attorney is tasked with proving a case beyond a reasonable doubt. It is not too hard to establish reasonable doubt when the key witness still believes in the tooth fairy.) I met my client in a state of panic as she feared the domestic court would order her to force her child to spend time with her father. While it was a long and arduous process, we ultimately succeeded in defeating the motion to modify parenting time. Thankfully, the little girl was not forced to spend any time with her father. Shortly thereafter we completed a step=parent adoption, ensuring that our client's new husband would assume all father's parental rights and responsibilities.
