I received a call and two long time employees of my client had abruptly quit on a Friday. The next week my client learned that they had taken computer records, customer lists and pending requests for q ... uotes and gone to work for his competitor! I wrote a demand letter, then immediately filed a lawsuit for breach of employment contract and sought injunctive relief. I was able to get my client a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction against his two former employees and his competitor. Thereafter, faced with a hostile judge, the competitor and former employees agreed to settle the case on terms very favorable for my client.
