The patent examiner had rejected the claims in U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 10/224,917 as being anticipated by the prior art (i.e., the examiner contended that the same invention was already know ... n, and shown, by a prior U.S. patent). I filed an appeal of the patent examiner's determination, and won.
