OUTCOME: Federal Court defense verdict, 8-0.

Police officer, Hispanic male, attempting to stop the plaintiff for a minor crime, shot the African American male plaintiff two times in the face after the plaintiff refused to stop and repeatedly pla ... ced his hands in and around his waistband area. The officer feared he had a gun and was reaching for it. As it turned out, the plaintiff had no gun, but was under the influence of methamphetamine. I defended the police officer accused of civil rights violations and excessive force.
