Client sought defense/indemnity f ... rom 50+ insurers. After appellate decision that cleanup costs and costs of mitigation were covered (211 CA3d 216), and 9 month coverage trial, case went to California Supreme Court which held for client that (1) RI/FS costs are covered as part of the duty to defend, and (2) Insured need not contribute to the defense costs (17 Cal 4th 38)
