Vaughan, Jr. for a legal matter in Virginia, paid a full retainer upfront, and did not receive the advocacy required for my dispute. After the upfront payment was secured, the firm failed to execute mea...ningful work on my behalf. Furthermore, the administrative handling of client funds was incredibly problematic. When it came time to manage the remaining portion of my retainer, the firm claimed internal banking and trust account issues prevented a prompt release of funds.The firm's written communications were entirely contradictory. In one instance, they strictly enforced a 10-day bank clearing timeline to demand urgent financial transfers right before a court date. However, during settlement discussions, they reversed their position and weaponized that exact 10-day clearing window as leverage—explicitly stating they would refuse to remove the case from the active court docket until a check cleared. This approach forced me to navigate an unnecessary financial crisis while the threat of an open docket remained over me. This firm prioritized its own payment timelines and control over true client representation. Licensed in Virginia since October 1979, this practitioner's operational methods do not serve the client's best interests. I cannot recommend his services.
