In 2009, I was subject to a search warrant at my home - it caught me completely by surprise and soon learned that the police suspected me of some very serious crimes. I was terrified - I considered myself a law abiding citizen and was shocked how quickly some seemingly innocent circumstances had brou...ght me to this place. The next day, I called every criminal defense attorney with an ad in the yellow pages. Most of them gave me a free consultation and - absolutely no insight into what I might expect from the investigation. A few days later, my mother called me and told me she had spoken to a Private Investigator who highly recommended Leigh Drewry, Jr. I looked him up and called him. He was the only CD attorney who required a small fee for his time. It was well worth it. I saw him the next day, even after a major snowstorm. I met him in his office and we spent all the time I wanted - he gave me multiple scenarios about how my case might proceed, some insight into how criminal charges are proven in court and asked me some good questions about my situation that gave me a much better insight into what was important and what was not. In the end, the investigation ended without charges, as Mr. Drewry had predicted in one of his scenarios (given my knowledge of the case before being charged.) He was the only attorney I spoke to who I would feel comfortable representing me in court. He is intelligent, well spoken, and sypmathetic without being sappy.
