Reckless Driving ticket in Virginia

This attorney would never return my phone calls or emails. I called him multiple times right up to the day before my court date. He finally called me while I was in route from SC to Virginia the morning of court. After I was found guilty fined he did not even come out of the court room to inform me e...xactly what I was charged with or how this was going to affect me. I poked my head back into the court room and asked am I being charged with a felony. He may be inexpensive. You get what you pay for. Do not hire him

Not reccomended- Terrible communication

Do not recommend. Absolutely horrendous communication at critical point in the process. After completing necessary documents (including payment information) in order to secure Mr. Baker as my attorney for a driving incident he completely ceased all communication with me. After about 3 weeks of not re...turning my calls or emails I had to proceed with hiring a different attorney.

Incredble representation

Scott has been a great attorney. Good communication and handled my case which was not easy, as I live out of state and was able to be in person. Later, when I failed to follow through with the court's requirements in a timely manner, he was patient and assisted me in rectifying the situation. I ...highly recommend Scott for any situation where you require legal counseling and assistance.

Reckless Driving Charge

I was driving home to Pennsylvania from Georgia when I was pulled over in Virginia for what I thought was just a speeding ticket as the deputy sheriff indicated. Long story short it was actually an automatic reckless driving charge. a I started to receive numerous mailings from attorney's offices fr...om Virginia wanting to represent me. When I received Attorney Baker's letter it was the most comprehensive and when I called him, he returned my call the same day. He had the charges reduced to a non moving violation! Anytime I emailed him with a question I received a response. I highly recommend him when you need help!

I wish I had never hired him......

Mr. Baker represented me in a traffic violation in Lexington, Va. While he did help me last minute and in a pinch, I do not believe I got a good representation. I met with him once and he told me the prosecutor was pulling my driving history. We then both went into the court room where he did not sit... with me. The prosecutor came into the court room carrying papers (presumably my driving record) and talked to Mr. Baker and Mr. Baker nodded his head. Mr. Baker claims he negotiated the best possible deal with the prosecutor, but I never saw any negotiations and only saw Mr. Baker nod at the prosecutor, not negotiate. What angers me most is that he never told me about the deal prior to us both going before the judge. He never talked to me after he nodded to the prosecutor. My deal reached was not a good deal nor anything I would have agreed to if discussed with me prior to us going before the judge. This was my first time in court for criminal charges and I was incredibly nervous. Mr. Baker kept claiming that I should have spoken up in front of the judge, but I was terribly nervous and relied on Mr. Baker, which in hindsight is a horrible and costly mistake. The judge was especially sympathetic that day and I firmly believe I would have been better off if I had not hired Mr. Baker. When I brought my grievances to him, he told me he did review the deal with me (even though he had not). He will also not make eye contact with you. I would not recommend him at all.
