Nancy Jean Bradford

Nancy Jean Bradford is Southwest Virginia's worst lawyer by far. I truthfully have no idea how she still holds a bar license. Its her way or the highway and does nothing for the benefit of your child. If you know anything about hiring lawyers, you tell them what you want and they get the outcome. I ...hired her because I heard she was a shark but the rumors were just smoke screens.If you plan to hire her, be expected to do as she says and not what you want.

I cannot and will not recommend Ms. Bradford's office for any divorce related services. I had what she called a 'simple divorce case' and instead of handling the case at hand, she sucked up the $3000 retainer fee which was supposed to fund my divorce by writing letters, making phone calls, etc. and c...harging me for it. The problem here is that I had to keep asking her where my spousal support check was, why she was allowing my ex to be late with it whenever I had a bona fied need for it. She continued sucking the retainer fee with zero results on a spousal abandonment case until she used up the whole amount and then, without warning, she dropped my case one week from the court date. She called my cell phone on a Sunday of all days to tell me she was dropping my case. She gave no reason for it and didn't offer me the option of paying her more money. She just walked away from it a week from the court date leaving me in a legally vulnerable position and with my 3K in her pocket having performed no legal services of any value whatsoever. I also know of 2 other similar divorce cases that were ongoing at the same time and these ladies experienced the same treatment from Ms. Bradford--their case was dropped completely after she sharked the entire retainer fee.

I went in 12/31/2014 with intentions to see what my options would be with my divorce from husband of 23 years. He cheated and left so I was wanting to know where I stood. I must say I have never experienced such a person in my life. Informative? NO Degrading a person? YES I would have thought being m...y consult she would've been on my side but turns out she put me down to the lowest length a person could be put. Bad enough I am facing a divorce but have a $100 consult just to tell me I need to be putting in applications for employment, and walk 2 miles a day wasn't quite what I was expecting from a LAWYER my doctor yes but a divorce attorney? Needless to say I will seek other legal consult and as for her she will never get a recommendation or another dime from me.

I went for a consultation about custody. Ms. Bradford rolled her eyes as I was speaking and wouldn't listen to my case. She didn't seem interested or compassionate about anything I was saying. I should've donated my $100.00 consultation fee to a homeless person or just burned it. I found her to be ru...de, intertuptive.
