We Wish to remain Anonymous. If you can not keep this message anonymous, than I ask that you delete it now. Michaela Pannell was assigned to our case. We did not know at that time that we unable to hire another lawyer, due the cases circumstances, so we prayed and tried to make the best of it, ...hoping that she would fight for our families safety. We were so wrong. Slim to no communication. When speaking to her, we seemed to be bothering her, as she must always have something better or more important. She has also been dishonest on several occasions. (It was never her fault, she made excuses, untruthful tales, to try and say she is not to blame) If she would have done even just half the job that she should have, maybe, just maybe things would have come out decent. As we look back on it, it's almost like she did everything she said she wouldn't and provided defense with things that only destroyed our case. She has been more concerned over what the bailiffs have brought for lunch or are ordering in..... she leaves without even a look to her clients. I understand that she is young and I am sure has lots of potential, however this is not the classroom. These are peoples lives that are on the line, their families safety are at risk! One should not have to constantly look at the lawyer to say "objection" or to remind them of all the evidence that they chose not to show or not to just abandon their clients and say "oh well". This was never to help support victims. If so, where was the support, communication, care and even the slightest compassion. We have decided we will be handling this on our own, however we , as a family would like to speak to someone to see how in the world things to this extent could possibly happen in the year of 2023. We thank her and this whole organization for allowing us to look like dishonest fools. Sadly we are true victims, we pray our family will not be in more danger.
