Tami Tice Jacob

Tami is a central part of Amaryllis Law’s Special Immigrant Juvenile practice and represents individuals and families in removal proceedings. Tami is a dedicated advocate with substantial experience advocating for children and families. She is passionate about protecting those who have been abandoned, neglected, or abused. Tami previously worked for the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence and The Central Virginia Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA). She graduated from Lynchburg College and takes great pride in being a first-generation college graduate in her family. Tami then went on to receive her Masters in Community Counseling from Eastern Illinois University, which is where she met her husband and they got married. Following a decade raising her 3 daughters, Tami went to law school with a desire to serve. After exploring prosecution and family law, she found practicing immigration law to be the perfect combination of her counseling and legal skills. Tami has completed training in Collaborative Divorce, Mediation and Interest Based Negotiation Skills, Domestic Violence Advocacy, Sexual Assault Victim Training, Trauma-Informed Care in the classroom, and Interviewing the Abused Child. In her free time, Tami loves running with her Australian Shepard, acting as an Elder at her church, volunteering on the board for CASA of Central Virginia, cheering her daughters on during their many sports and theater events, and being her husband’s biggest fan during his tennis matches.
