i had him in a divorce case he never returned phone calls let my ex wifes lawyer do all the paper work and he agreed to every thing my ex wife lawyer wanted all he did was take my money. he waited till five minutes before court to do paper work on my finances asking me while in court what questions t...o ask. he will not fight for you .

It seems that Mr. Dorsey has a pattern of neglecting his clients. In the past year and a half he has done absolutely nothing for me in my divorce. In December 2011 I was ordered to pay alimony. By paying this alimony it made my income negative $666/month. Go figure. He said he would file immediately... to get it reduced. It's June 2013...never happened even though I begged him to help. Still not divorced either. I have left countless phone messages and emails and all have gone unanswered and no return call. When I confronted him about his lack of responsiveness he simply said he could quit the case and send me a bill for his services. He had done nothing, so I told him he would have to send me a refund from the retainer I gave him. I took witnesses with me to nail him down on some things he said he would do. Never happened. Nothing. Now I'm dead broke and still in need of legal help. RUN AWAY FROM JEFF.

I hired Jeffrey Dorsey to represent me in a misdemeanor family charge in Oct 2010. I was visit VA at the time of the charge. Dorsey promised I would not have to ruturn to the state, and that he would take care of the charge- no problem. After changing my court date without notifying me, causing me to... loose thousands in wages, I ended up spending about $2,000 more to come back to VA. And now that the case is "over" (he entered no lo contendere" plea, he has not answered or returned at least 50 phone calls I have made with questions about how the charge affects my professional license. Terrible lawyer, trust me, the extra $500 is worth all the trouble he will cause you- get a real lawyer!
