Jordan Kelly Sharpes

Jordan Sharpes joined GBSR Attorneys as an associate attorney in 2011. Jordan graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2009 and from Middle Tennessee State University in 2005. Prior to joining the firm, Jordan worked as a general practitioner for a firm in Lexington, Virginia. At GBSR Attorneys, Jordan focuses his practice on civil litigation, but remains broadly interested in all aspects of dispute resolution (in and out of court) and dispute avoidance planning. His experience is commensurate.

Jordan prides himself in his ability to explain the intricacies of the legal process to his clients in a way that helps them to understand the whole picture. His practice style emphasizes clarity, honesty, and a strategic approach to identifying and managing risk. He understands that each client has different needs and goals and is as comfortable taking a case to trial as negotiating out-of-court agreements, as the client or case may require. He has served as a guide to individuals and businesses alike in both transactional and dispute settings.

Jordan is a native of Virginia and, in addition to practicing law, enjoys life and work with his wife and daughter on their Franklin County farm. Together, they explore small-scale biological agriculture, food and beverage craft, and a homesteading lifestyle.

Jordan is a member of Trinity Ecumenical Parish in Moneta, VA and serves on the Board of Directors for the New Life Birth Center in Rocky Mount, VA.
