Professional, reasonable

Sharon provides focused, professional legal consultation. Her fees are reasonable and she successfully won my case, with terms beyond what I had originally expected. I would absolutely recommend her.

Great lawyer - fights for her clients

Sharon did what multiple previous lawyers couldn't do - finally fight back against my ex and their incompetent attorney and get what I deserved. The first lawyers I hired to handle my initial divorce and followup custody cases were passive, and did not fight for what I wanted, in fact one I should ...have filed an ethics complaint on for mishandling my case as open issues lingered for month's without resolution. I never knew where my case was, and calls/emails, went unanswered. When I hired Sharon - she was the best prepared lawyer yet. She stayed on top of my case, kept me informed of everything along the way and fought hard for what I deserved. She was the first lawyer I had to finally get control of my case, and stop the nonsense and games that my ex was trying to play. I finally got "my day in court" and Sharon did an excellent job. Since hiring Sharon, my ex has finally stopped dragging me into court on frivolous issues because Sharon was able to stand up and fight. Sharon is a no nonsense lawyer. If you are a client who knows what you want, Sharon will help and fight for what you deserve. Some reviewers said she dropped them as clients and it is my opinion she dropped them because they were difficult clients and did not follow Sharon's advice.

Awful

I had the same experience as the other reviewer that Ms Chickering dropped as a client. She did the same thing to me. She never seemed to be truly interested in my case except for my initial consultation. She prepared documents that had incorrect information which I had to pay for and then pay for... her to correct! Basic info that we had talked about. This happened several times with revision after revision. She was not helpful in the initial hearing either. Very passive and didn't stand up for my rights. She seemed very hurried. She wanted to do all the drafting of the documents, I figure because her secretary does them for her and She still charges her rates. Even when I let her know that my ex's attorney was going to write up the final agreement for approval, she took it upon herself to write it up so she could charge me. Guess what? Half of it was incorrect which meant I would have to correct it and pay her to revise it. When I confronted her on this she dropped me as well. She never gave me any advice on support or anything and I finally gave up and just settled for what my ex proposed because I was tired of fighting between us, as she was never really involved in negotiations, that was entirely done between my ex and myself. In the end, I just want to move on and have peace. Very unprofessional.

Excellent Attorney - Very Satisfied

Sharon is professional, very knowledgeable, ethical, and straight to the point. She was referred to me for my divorce proceedings. I am very happy she represented me and I would hire her again.

Poor Experience with Ms. Chickering

I hired Ms. Chickering to represent me in divorce/child custody matter. Her assistant would call and I would NOT be able to get off the phone with her. She used up alot of my time/charged me for phone calls where I learned nothing. Ms. Chickering was NOT prepared when we went to my custody hearing. I...nstead of focusing on the issues I addressed with her during out meetings, she brought up something completely arbitrary that made me wonder if she had me confused with someone else. My results were the opposite of what I had hoped for. I was skewered by the opposing counsel and she did not try to stop it. She is not aggressive at all. I will say that she is a very nice woman. Just not what I had expected because in our meetings she seemed to be very knowledgeable. When I addressed my concern to her, she dropped me as a client, and said I'd used up all of my retainer.
