Biography
Claude D. Carter concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, real estate and business law. He is also an ordained Baptist minister.
He’s worked as an accountant for General Electric and served in the United States Army Artillery. Prior to joining Woods Rogers, he was a partner at Carter & Osborne, P.C.
His extensive community service includes serving as chairman of the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors and on the boards of the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission, the Fifth Planning District Commission, the League of Older Americans and Total Action Against Poverty. He remains active in the Roanoke Elks Lodge, Melrose Masonic Lodge and Kazim-Shriners.
Claude is listed among Best Lawyers in America and is one of Virginia Living’s Legal Eagles.
He’s a graduate of Virginia Tech, earned his law degree at Washington and Lee School of Law and in 2007 obtained a Master of Divinity degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.
