Biography
Doug Barber is a trial lawyer who specializes in representing injured people in personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death cases across Virginia.
Prior to joining Gentry Locke in 2015, he worked as a plaintiff’s attorney litigating personal injury cases in the Hampton Roads area and as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Chesapeake, Virginia.
In 2013, Doug retired from the Navy JAG Corps after a four year term as a Military Trial Judge in Washington, D.C. and Norfolk, Virginia. Before becoming a Trial Judge, Doug worked as a prosecutor, a criminal defense attorney and as a legal advisor onboard the USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65).
Prior to joining the Navy JAG Corps, he served as Navy line officer onboard USS PETERSON (DD 969) from 1993-1996.
