James Peyton Cargill

I found my experience with Mr. Cargill to be less than desirable. He offered only one option and seems to be a "Yes sir. whatever you say" kind of attorney with the court system and made a "deal" with the prosecuting attorney without consulting with us first. He comes across as a timid attorney in ...front of the judge and not willing to fight for his client and is big on making a plea deal without consulting with his client with other options that were absolutely available. Not a fighting "attorney" at all. My experience with him was unpleasant and he was rather rude and I was not even the client, but was involved. I would never suggest this "nice" attorney if you want a fair chance with your case, for he will definitely take the easy way out, along with your money. This case had a fighting chance at a not guilty verdict, and he was obviously scared to fight for what was right and refused to do so, which is what he was paid to do. He spoke to his client in a condescending manner as she asked the appropriate questions he was paid to answer. Probably time to retire Mr. Cargill, as it seems that you are a tired male. I would NEVER suggest this attorney, as I have witnessed court appointed attorneys do a much better job at practicing law than this tired individual did. I will be sure to spread the word all over town with my negative and unprofessional experience with Mr. Cargill. And I know a lot of people. You're welcome!!!
