OUTCOME: Petition for protection order was dismissed and the father was reunited with his children.

Our client was wrenched out of his children's lives by a surprise protection order filed in King County Superior Court. His ex-wife petitioned claiming that she viewed his discipline as abusive. She ... was a very permissive parent. Our client imposed rules and structure for his children. His ex wife attempted to change custody and get full custody of the children through a protection order. With a zealous defense at his hearing, the King County Superior Court commissioner saw through her false claims. His rights and access to his children was immediately reinstated.

T.S. was ousted from his home by a surprise temporary protection order filed by his wife. She alleged he abused her financially and was controlling. With those allegations alone he was removed from hi ... s home and denied access to his children. The facts we were able to gather showed that the wife had been the abusive one - these were shown through text messages, witnesses and video evidence. The King County Superior Court Commissioner saw that T.S. was the victim and "re-aligned" the parties making him the protected party and his wife the restrained party.
