George Wakefield Buxton

George P. Wakefield Buxton is Managing Partner at TrustBuilders Law Group and the President of TrustBuilders Fiduciary Group. Mr. Buxton specializes in elder law, asset protection, and advanced wealth transfer. He also assists clients with charitable giving and business succession planning. Mr. Buxton is an Accredited Estate Planner® and member of the Virginia, West Virginia and Minnesota Bars as well as the United States Tax Court.
George P. Wakefield Buxton holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech, a law degree from Regent University, and a Master of Laws in Estate Planning from the University of Miami. He has also completed his graduate work in Financial Planning at Georgetown University and holds an MBA from The College of William and Mary.
Mr. Buxton is familiar with virtually every aspect of comprehensive wealth management. He has held numerous securities licenses, including FINRA Series 7, 23, 65, and 6. Mr. Buxton has been named a member of the financial service industry’s prestigious Million Dollar Round Table. In 2008, Mr. Buxton established the state of West Virginia’s only Board Certified Financial Planning Program, and later that year was elected the President of the West Virginia Tax Institute.
